For 12 years, Contexte has been decoding the policymaking process and the dynamics of influence shaping European public policy. Fully independent, Contexte is a 100% subscription-funded media outlet — no ads, no sponsorship, no external shareholders.
Today, more than 14,000 subscribers across Europe rely on our news. With 123 employees, including 55 in-house journalists in Paris and Brussels, Contexte has become a key reference for political and regulatory news in Brussels and Paris. In 2025, we expanded further in Europe with a new edition dedicated to EU public affairs — in English.

They cover the European Union in depth, shedding light on EU decisions, policies, and debates that others overlook. Their goal is to support European democracy by equipping citizens and institutions with the information they need to hold the EU establishment accountable. They are radically independent, and rely mainly on members to fund their journalism.
